Kohler makes some great looking onyx vessel sinks.  This one we carry in our showroom and would make a beautiful addition to a vanity bathroom.

Granite and marble tub surrounds are an elegant alternative to tile, not to mention so much easier to maintain.  There is no difficult grout to deal with, and you can add any edge you like.  This has an Ogee edge, on the tub and the splash.
